David’s Key is a fellowship of believers in Rishon LeTzion, taking their place as priests and kings in prayer, supplication and worship. The Prayer House meets daily for intercession and spiritual equipping and is committed to the vision of One New Man in Messiah.
One of the primary ways that David’s Key congregation reaches out to their community is through music. The vision of Live Army 288, the music academy started by David’s Key, is to reach Israelis with the light of God and to equip people with excellence in their musical skills and spiritual knowledge.
“Our vision is to see heaven open over our nation, to preach the good news effectively, to reach our communities and to take our part in the physical and spiritual restoration of the Kingdom of God in Israel.”
“The Lord began to speak to us about David’s heart of worship.” There is power in music; it is an instrument of influence. Music has a supernatural ability to bypass the mind and go straight to the heart. It can draw people toward the divine, make them more sensitive and open hearts to the message of the gospel.
“’But now bring me a musician.’ And when the musician played, the hand of the Lord came upon him.” 2 Kings 3:15
Live Army 288 was birthed out of this revelation of David’s heart of worship. Their goal is to use music as a means to share the gospel and disciple the next generation.
Every day, over 110 students come to the music academy to receive training offered by skilled musicians and instructors. The studio has multiple state of the art rooms, equipped with the gamut of musical instruments, for group instruction, private lessons, recording sessions and even hosting recitals, shows and events for the local community. The music academy is an effective avenue to serve both believers and non-believers through music. It is a place of genuine community and discipleship for the next generation. Live Army 288 music academy gives identity, vision and direction to this next generation through skill and song. Their desire is to inspire and develop depth of fellowship and conversation, and through skilled music and training, to open people’s hearts more to the truth.
“Music is the flute in the hand of the Shepherd that touches the heart, passes the mind and can lead people closer to the Light.”
“Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! 2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! 3 Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! 4 Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! 5 Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150
